Linh‌ ‌Hoai‌ ‌Nguyen‌ ‌| Canada

Hello,‌ ‌nice‌ ‌to‌ ‌e-meet‌ ‌you!‌ ‌My‌ ‌name‌ ‌is‌ ‌Linh‌ ‌Hoai‌ ‌Nguyen,‌ ‌and‌ ‌I‌ ‌am‌ ‌a‌ ‌third-year‌ ‌student‌ ‌studying‌ ‌political‌ ‌science.‌ ‌Originally‌ ‌from‌ ‌Windsor,‌ ‌Ontario,‌ ‌I‌ ‌moved‌ ‌to‌ ‌Toronto‌ ‌to‌ ‌study‌ ‌politics‌ ‌in‌ ‌Canada's‌ ‌most‌ ‌dynamic‌ ‌and‌ ‌multicultural‌ ‌city.‌ ‌My‌ ‌research‌ ‌and‌ ‌work‌ ‌predominantly‌ ‌focuses‌ ‌on‌ ‌gender‌ ‌equality‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌political‌ ‌landscape,‌ ‌as‌ ‌well‌ ‌as‌ ‌democratic‌ ‌freedom‌ ‌and‌ ‌development.‌ ‌While‌ ‌I‌ ‌am‌ ‌passionate‌ ‌about‌ ‌politics,‌ ‌day-to-day,‌ ‌I‌ ‌value‌ ‌fostering‌ ‌a‌ ‌community‌ ‌through‌ ‌local‌ ‌events‌ ‌(be‌ ‌it‌ ‌debates,‌ ‌presentations,‌ ‌or‌ ‌competitions),‌ ‌and‌ ‌media‌ ‌activism.‌ ‌Most‌ ‌of‌ ‌all,‌ ‌I‌ ‌value‌ ‌optimism,‌ ‌community,‌ ‌and‌ ‌equity.‌ ‌In‌ ‌my‌ ‌spare‌ ‌time,‌ ‌one‌ ‌can‌ ‌find‌ ‌me‌ ‌exploring‌ ‌the‌ ‌city,‌ ‌eating‌ ‌sushi‌ ‌with‌ ‌friends,‌ ‌or‌ ‌

weightlifting.‌ ‌ ‌

Hajira Mehreen Qurishe | India

Hi! I am Hajira Mehreen Qurishe from Chennai, India. A nation filled with diverse religions, cultures, ethnicities, and much more. I love how we all co-exist together, especially when each of us stands out in our unique way. I consider myself a global citizen after being brought up where our differences are a cause for celebration.

I am currently in my final year of UG for English Literature in Ethiraj College for Women where I deceived myself thinking “yay!!! Reading my fav books for exams” but nobody told me about how your professor never ends up prescribing your favorite books, and will probably bore you into death by explaining why Shakespeare wrote ‘thou’ instead of ‘the’. If I am not writing the plethora of assignments, you will probably catch me watching some thriller on my laptop while munching some snacks when everyone is asleep. So to upgrade me to be a better writer from a reader, I intend to use this opportunity to better myself and get to know each other for an unforgettable experience.

Maya Zealey | Scotland

My name is Maya Zealey, and I am from Scotland, studying Economics and International Relations at the University of St Andrews. In my spare time, I enjoy writing about social justice issues, with a particular focus on the climate crisis and intersectional feminism. This year I have spent more time than usual exploring Scotland and have found a revived appreciation for the nature that surrounds me, whether I’m walking through the hills or swimming in the lochs. Now more so than ever, I understand the need to work towards sustainability and how it has to intersect with global social justice to bring about the much-needed change we all want to see in the world.

These podcasts motivate me to be the best version of myself. I am passionate about writing and expressing myself in the best way I can. This is because you never know who you can impact positively with your words. I hope to be a positive influence on people around me and the world at large.

Abdul Rehman Nawaz | Pakistan

Cold wishes everyone! My name is Abdul Rehman Nawaz. I was born and brought up in the Province of Punjab, Pakistan. I am currently studying as a Law Student. My passion was to pursue Law as a profession and excel at it and I am pursuing it for which I am thankful to Allah. If I find some free time from the readings of legal texts then I like to spend some time off the laptop screen and do something in the real-life and disconnect from the digital life that we have now being asked to live. I like to read books of course. I prefer to read books on legal topics, humorous genres, or lastly Islamic topics. That’s it! That’s pretty much all about myself. I am now going to work with The World with MNR as a writing intern and I hope that by the time I reach the end of this internship, I leave with something valuable! Thank You!
