Ayesha Khan is a first-year Life Science student at the University of Toronto. As a science student, she finds herself concerned about the stories of injustice and inequity around the world as it pertains to health and healthcare. She is passionate about fighting for the issues that exist at the intersection of race, health and gender. She tries to advocate for a more equitable world in which healthcare is accessible to all and hopes to major in Global Health to further understand healthcare inequity. An avid reader, some of her all-time favourite books are Becoming, Pride and Prejudice and Educated. She is also passionate about writing and the power that it has to empower and elevate the voices of the unheard.
